The Greater Baltimore Climate Summit is hosted by a committee of professionals and community members from Morgan State University, the Chesapeake Bay Seed Capital Fund, Maryland Energy Savers, the Johns Hopkins Institute for Planetary Health, the HBCU Environmental Justice Technical Collaborative, and more local organizations.

The summit is an innovative gathering—inspired by forward-thinking programming of California’s Strategic Growth Council—tailored to the unique needs of Baltimore City and its surrounding counties.

Aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 17, Partnerships for the Goals, GBCS aims to foster collaboration between government, academia, the private sector and civil society dedicated to enhancing the region’s environmental infrastructure and programming.
