A Note From the Greater Baltimore Climate Summit Host Committee

Happy Holidays GBCS Family,

Thank you for being part of the Greater Baltimore Climate Summit this year. We can't let the year come to a close without expressing our gratitude for your support. What you experienced was more than a one-day convening—it was a grassroots, community-driven effort to bring together people across sectors who care deeply about Baltimore’s future and who are ready to act.

The Summit was designed as a collaborative space to highlight our region’s most pressing environmental challenges, share actionable steps, and spotlight solutions already working across government, business, academia, nonprofits, and community organizations. Our goal was to synchronize agendas across sectors, spark honest dialogue, and create the conditions for lasting partnerships that lead to real economic and environmental impact. We think we succeeded!

This year’s conversations spanned many topic areas alongside two core tracks—Environmental Justice and Investment & Innovation—because we believe all of these issues are interconnected. Progress happens when equity, capital, data, policy, and community voice move together.

We are deeply grateful to our co-organizers and partners who helped bring this vision to life: Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM), Baltimore Climate Tech Meetup, Lemon Tree Productions, and Code CollectiveThis Summit exists because of shared leadership and collective effort.

Our hope is that you met new collaborators, initiated partnerships, and left with ideas and connections that will stand the test of time—well beyond this event.
